A New Zealand-born actor and acting coach, Tania Nolan brings two decades of screen experience, and seven years teaching at a leading Los Angeles acting studio, to actors seeking grounded, practical preparation.
A graduate of Toi Whakaari: NZ Drama School, Tania’s breakout performance in The Hothouse earned her a Qantas Television Award nomination for Best Actress.
She has since built a substantial career across both local and international productions, carving out a career that moves easily between comedy, drama, action and genre television. Currently on screen as Dr. Sophia Crane on Shortland Street, she was previously known to New Zealand audiences for leading roles in Go Girls, This Is Not My Life and Crackhead. Her international work spans network television and studio features, including roles in NCIS and Underworld: Rise of the Lycans.
Her coaching has supported actors preparing for career-defining roles, including working with Cooper Koch for his Golden Globe-nominated performance in Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story.
It’s this unique perspective of being both in front of and behind the camera, that gives Tania the insight and shorthand to foster practical breakthroughs for actors alike. Her work culminates in The Practice by T. Nolan™ - a human-first approach to preparing for imagined worlds, within the audition room, self-tape, and on set.
